About Sönmez Global
Sönmez Global was founded in 1980 as a specialized engineering company, starting with manufacturing and HVAC design for the textile industry. Over four decades the company built a full engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) practice, expanded into the CIS region in the 2000s, and added electrical contracting and turn-key construction in the 2010s.
Company timeline
Founded as a specialized engineering company, starting with manufacturing and installation of HVAC systems predominantly for the textile industry.
Formed two organizations: one focused on ventilation equipment manufacturing, the other on EPC services for mechanical systems across industries including pharmaceuticals, FMCG, ceramics, automotive and petrochemicals.
Expanded internationally into CIS countries, transforming from a domestic company into a multicultural, internationally competent organization.
Added electrical contracting to become a full MEP contractor, supplying EPC services for airports, hospitals, petrochemical plants, power plants and manufacturing facilities across the Middle East and beyond.
Transferred manufacturing activities to a sister company, focused fully on contracting, acquired a construction company in Bulgaria, and established branch offices in new regions.
An international EPC and MEP contractor with completed and ongoing projects on three continents, backed by more than 40 years of contracting experience.
