Cap Des Biches Power Plant

Description

This landmark energy project encompasses the execution of cylindrical storage tanks, balance of plant (BOP) piping works, and a 550-ton steel structure for a 350 MW power plant—the largest power generation facility in Senegal. Developed by West African Energy (85%) in partnership with state utility Senelec (15%), the plant supplies electricity to approximately 500,000 households while driving down national energy costs. Built with operational flexibility to run on naphtha initially before transitioning primarily to natural gas, the facility plays a critical role in supporting cleaner, more sustainable grid integration across the region.
